About Southwell Court Care Home

Southwell Court in Nottingham, is a purpose-built 82-bed care home offering a mixture of single and double rooms for residential and dementia care and is set in beautifully landscaped gardens. It’s ideally situated for providing care to those with family in Newark and the nearby towns and villages, as well as Nottingham. We also provide short term respite care to help families and loved ones take a break from their caring roles.

We promote individualised person-centred care in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, encouraging independence, choice and dignity throughout all that we do.

Care at Southwell Court Care Home

Margaret Hemstock is the Registered Manager, and together with a strong, experienced and trained staff team, work throughout the day and night to ensure that our residents’ individual care needs are met with dignity and passion and that the care home feels like a ‘home from home’.

We have our own dedicated chef at Southwell Court, allowing us to cater for individual needs and preferences including specific cultural and religious dietary requirements.

Facilities & Activities at Southwell Court Care Home

Southwell Court offers car parking, Wi-Fi, is pet-friendly and provides a wide range of other services, such as hairdressing and a full activities programme which includes regular outings to local attractions, cafes and garden centres to name but a few. Our Facebook page is very popular locally and many of the local people contribute regularly.

We have excellent working relationships with local professionals (GPs, Nurses, Commissioners, etc.) and have a strong reputation for providing good quality care to our residents.

Transport Links with Newark & Nottingham

Southwell Court has good transport links with the 28 and 29 buses from Newark and the 100 bus from Nottingham. Both bus services stop within a five minutes’ walk from the care home.
